kidsfilmfest's mission is to discover, expose, and promote children's filmmakers while drawing worldwide attention to Brooklyn. kidsfilmfest is an exciting, new initiative of the Brooklyn International Film Festival (BiFF).

about the festival

Kidsfilmfest was staged at the Brooklyn Lyceum Theatre June 1st, 2008. The idea is to expose and promote children's filmmakers within an established festival forum.

The film program is tailored for children of all ages (films will be rated "G"). It consists of numerous short animation, live-action and documentary films. A Q & A with the filmmakers and a filmmakers workshop will follow the program

BiFF is an international, competitive festival for and by independent film makers operative since 1997. BIFF, inc. is a not-for-profit organization currently operating under the fiscal umbrella of the Brooklyn Economic Development Corporation.
